Extempore – “Speak On The Spot”
Think fast, speak faster. Extempore challenges participants to articulate their thoughts on a surprise topic with clarity, confidence, and creativity — all within a limited preparation time. It's not just about speaking, but about thinking on your feet and delivering with presence and impact. One mic. One topic. One chance to impress.

1. Participation Format

• Total Entries: 2 entries per house
• Participants per Entry: 1 only
• Only solo entries allowed
• Languages Allowed: English or Hindi
• Preparation Time: 2 minutes
• Speaking Time: 2–3 minutes

2. Submission Process

No prior submission required.
Participants must register in advance with the event coordinators.
Topics will be given on the spot through a draw of lots.
Participants will have 2 minutes to prepare before presenting.
Registration details to be sent via email or text to the event coordinators.
Registration deadline: 18 June 2025

Include the following:
• Full name of participant
• House name
• Contact details

4. General Rules

• Topic will be picked randomly by the participant.
• No written notes or devices allowed during the performance.
• Exceeding time limits or going off-topic may result in deduction.
• Judges’ decision will be final and binding.

5. Do's and Don'ts

Do’s:

• Stick to the given prompt or theme.
• Keep content original and well-structured.
• Ensure clarity of thought and expression.
• Maintain time/word limits.
• For extempore, organize your thoughts quickly and speak confidently.

Don’ts:

• No plagiarism or use of AI-generated content.
• Avoid political or offensive language.
• Don’t exceed your allocated time/word count.
• No internet or mobile use once the round begins.
• Avoid reading your extempore completely off paper.
